In physical or geographical sense the northern hemisphere of Earth is called as Uttar Gol in Hindi whereas as per Indian Astrology or Jyotish: - When tropical Sun (Saayan Surya) travels in Maish, Vrish, Mithun, Kark, Singh & Kanya rashis repectively, that time period of six months is called as Uttar Gol because Sun is close to northern hemisphere at that time. During these six months (from 22 March to 22 September every year), in the countries located in northern hemisphere (like India) of earth Dinmaan will always be more as compared to Ratrimaan on different days and weather conditions will be warm/hot on an overall basis whereas in the countries located in southern hemisphere (like Australia) of earth Dinmaan will always be less as compared to Ratrimaan on different days and weather will be cold on an overall basis.
