Know about famous astrologer of India: - Dr.A.S.Kalra Astrologer: -

Dr. A.S. Kalra, also known as Ajit Singh Kalra, is widely recognized as one of the top 10 best astrologers in India, renowned for providing online astrological consultations. Following in the footsteps of the late Bejan Daruwalla, he holds the distinction of being the first internationally acclaimed astrologer from India. In acknowledgment of his exceptional skills, Dr. Kalra was awarded the first prize by the Indian Institute of Technology - Roorkee (IIT-Roorkee) during the 46th 'All India Techno Exhibition' (Srishti '05) held from March 4th to 6th, 2005. The esteemed institution recognized his remarkable software development, enabling accurate astronomical and astrological calculations, as well as the generation of birth charts and horoscopes. Dr. Kalra has also made notable contributions as a columnist for the Dehradun edition of The Times of India, a leading Indian English daily. His column titled "STARSPEAK" offered astrological consultations to readers, analyzing their horoscopes in The Times of India's DOON PLUS supplement, which circulated bi-weekly in Dehradun and nearby cities such as Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Roorkee. Further showcasing his expertise, Dr. Kalra frequently visits the renowned Ananda Spa Resort (Ananda in the Himalayas), situated near Rishikesh in Narendranagar, Tehri Garhwal. At this prestigious destination spa, he provides astrological consultations and horoscope readings to a diverse range of national and international visitors, offering his valuable insights and guidance.

Born in New Delhi, he spent his formative years in Haridwar, a significant ancient city nestled near the Himalayas on the sacred banks of the Ganges. Haridwar holds immense historical and spiritual importance and is in close proximity to Rishikesh, often referred to as the 'World Capital of Yoga'. As a resident of Shivalik Nagar, Haridwar, he later relocated to Vaishali, Delhi NCR in 2011, responding to the requests of his clients from Delhi and neighboring regions such as Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad. It was during the initial years of his career as a Vedic astrologer or jyotishi, and a proficient horoscope reader, that he developed a strong client base in these areas. Prior to his move to Delhi NCR, he achieved success working as a dedicated Vedic astrologer and a trainer of astrology, conducting comprehensive horoscope readings in both Haridwar and Rishikesh on a full-time basis. In 2003, he commenced his professional journey as a full-time astrologer, dedicating his skills and knowledge to assist individuals through astrology.

Ajit Singh Kalra, a renowned astrologer, has gained substantial experience working with both domestic and international clients throughout his career. His expertise lies in Predictive Astrology, also known as Phalit Jyotish, where he utilizes the principles and concepts outlined by Sage Parashara in his book 'Laghu Parashari' (consisting of 42 'Shlokas'). This knowledge forms the foundation of his horoscope readings and analyses, enabling him to provide comprehensive astrological consultations on various life aspects. By employing the principles of Predictive Astrology, Ajit Singh Kalra offers insights and guidance on education, career (job or business), professional growth, love life, marriage, married life, childbirth, financial condition, property, material assets, foreign travel, and health issues. He adeptly utilizes the concept of Vinshottari Mahadasha-Antardasha, as presented by Sage Parashara, to assess the past, present, and future phases of an individual's life. With his extensive knowledge and application of these astrological concepts, Ajit Singh Kalra is able to provide valuable predictions and counsel to his clients, supporting them in navigating life's challenges and opportunities.

Certificate received from IIT-Roorkee
Certificate received by Dr.A.S.Kalra
from the INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - Roorkee (IIT-Roorkee)
in March 2005 for developing a software
for making Astronomical and Astrological calculations
as well as for generating horoscopes

He possesses exceptional skills in software programming and has developed his own software called ASTROSOFT. This software enables astronomical as well as astrological calculations and has garnered recognition in the field. In fact, he was awarded the first prize in the 'Utility Software Category' of the 'Software Programming Section' by the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology - Roorkee (IIT-Roorkee) during the 46th 'All India Techno Exhibition' (Srishti '05) held from March 4th to 6th, 2005. This event was organized by IIT-Roorkee, and the software was also given the name ASTROCHART. During that time, Dr. Kalra's 'Vedic Astrology Centre' was referred to as the 'Centre for Vedic Astrology and Alternative Medicines (CVAAM)'. The council conducting the event had esteemed individuals such as Professor Dr. Satya Prakash from IIT-Roorkee serving as the Chief Advisor, Mr. Manoj Misra as the Staff Advisor, and Mr. Ashvani Kumar as the Council Secretary. The chief guest at the function, who awarded the prizes, was Sh. V.K. Mathur, the director of the 'Central Building Research Institute - Roorkee'. To ensure authenticity, a copy of the source code of the software was submitted to IIT-Roorkee and rigorously tested by their professors. Dr. Kalra also underwent a separate interview with the professors to ascertain the software's credibility and the authenticity of its source code. Interested parties can verify these details directly from the official website of IIT-Roorkee, which can be accessed at www.iitr.ac.in.

IIT-Roorkee, established in 1847, holds a distinguished position as a premier engineering and technological institution, not only in India but worldwide. It originated as the first engineering college in India under the British empire. The idea of its establishment was initially proposed by Colonel Colvin of the Bengal Engineers and recommended to the Honourable James Thomason by Colonel Cautley of the Royal Artillery. In 1854, it was renamed as Thomason College of Civil Engineering and gained university status in 1948 after India's independence from British rule. In November 1949, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, presented the Charter to elevate it as the first Engineering University of Independent India. Recognizing its significance, on September 21st, 2001, the Parliament passed a bill declaring the University an institute of national importance, resulting in its transformation from the University of Roorkee to the INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Roorkee. Throughout its history, the University of Roorkee has played a vital role in producing technical professionals and contributing to global research efforts. Located in the small town of Roorkee, Uttarakhand, which is near Haridwar and part of the Haridwar district, it continues to serve as a hub of technical expertise and knowledge.

Dr. A.S. Kalra, an esteemed astrologer, has developed an astrology software using the 'C' language, specifically designed as an MS-DOS based program. Distinguishing itself from other astrology software available in the market, this software excels in conducting thorough technical analyses of horoscopes, making it highly valuable for predictive astrologers. The software offers comprehensive insights into various aspects, such as identifying 'Aast' (Combust) planets, 'Uchcha' (Exalted) planets, 'Neech' (Debilitated) planets, 'Svarashi' (planets in their own signs), 'Dikbali' (planets with extra strength in specific directions), 'Nishphali' (planets that have diminished power due to their placement in certain houses), planetary zodiac exchanges, and 'Sandhigat' (planets present on the boundary of two zodiac signs). Additionally, it provides the traditional features of displaying Birthchart, Moonchart, other charts, and the 'Vinshottari Mahadasha-Antardasha' progression of the 'Grahas' (planets). According to Dr. A.S. Kalra, while any astrology software can perform accurate calculations, it falls short in analyzing a person's horoscope from multiple perspectives and making predictions. These nuanced interpretations and predictions can only be accomplished by learned astrologers or horoscope readers who utilize their knowledge, experience, intelligence, and intuition. Overall, Dr. A.S. Kalra's astrology software stands out for its comprehensive technical analysis capabilities, making it an invaluable tool for astrologers seeking deep insights into horoscopes.

Dr. A.S. Kalra dedicated over three months of hard work to develop the Astrology software in 2003. The primary reference book used for programming this software was 'Panchang Ganitam,' which was edited and explained by the late Pandit Kalyan Datt Sharma. Pandit Sharma was affiliated with the esteemed "Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth" located in Qutab Institutional Area, Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi. 'Panchang Ganitam' is derived from the original work titled "Vaijyanti Naam Panchang Ganit" written by Mr. Vyankatesh Ketkar in Marathi language. The translation into Hindi was done by Dr. Devi Prasad Tripathi, who is also associated with "Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth" in New Delhi. The publication of 'Panchang Ganitam' is credited to the "Sri Ved Mata Gayatri Trust (Shantikunj Ashram)" in Haridwar. For more information, the official website of Shantikunj Ashram, Haridwar, or the "All World Gayatri Pariwar" can be visited at www.awgp.org. Additionally, the official website of "Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth" is www.slbsrsv.ac.in.

Deciphering Panchang Ganitam proved to be a challenging task for Dr. Kalra due to its complex nature. Written in pure Hindi (Devanagari script) with numerous embedded Sanskrit words, the text posed a cryptic puzzle. However, Dr. Kalra persisted, determined to unravel its meaning, and eventually succeeded. During his exploration, he even discovered an error in the first edition of the book published in 2002. The mistake involved an equation concerning Jupiter's 'Manda Phal,' which was missing from pages 86 and 87. To rectify this, Dr. Kalra promptly contacted Shantikunj Ashram in Haridwar via telephone. Coincidentally, it happened that Pandit Kalyan Datt Sharma was temporarily residing there at the time. Without delay, Dr. Kalra journeyed to Shantikunj Ashram, accompanied by Mr. Ram Sahay Shukla, a member of the ashram, on July 3rd, 2003. He personally met Pandit Kalyan Datt Sharma and brought the mistake to his attention. Pandit ji referred to the Hindi translation of "Vaijyanti Naam Panchang Ganit" and promptly provided Dr. Kalra with the missing equation. He also assured Dr. Kalra that the corrected equation would be included in the next edition of the book. Sadly, Pandit ji passed away on October 5th, 2009, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, at the age of 90, leaving behind a remarkable legacy.

The esteemed Late Pandit Kalyan Dutt Sharma, a recipient of the President's Award, made significant contributions to the field of astronomy. His accomplishments include the construction of five stone observatories at various locations:
(1) Stone Observatory in Jaipur
(2) Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, New Delhi
(3) Dr. Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi
(4) Shanti Kunj Ashram, Haridwar,br> (5) An observatory along the banks of the Yamuna River in Mathura
Furthermore, Pandit Sharma served as a teacher at the "Government Maharaj Acharya Sanskrit College" in Jaipur. He also held the position of Incharge at the Jantar Mantar Stone Observatory, which was originally constructed by the founder of Jaipur, Maharaja Sawai Jaisingh, in the City Palace area of Jaipur. Pandit Kalyan Dutt Sharma's dedication and expertise left an indelible mark on the field of astronomy.

On May 15, 2009, the Dehradun Live supplement of the esteemed Indian English daily, HINDUSTAN TIMES, reached out to Dr. A.S. Kalra, a renowned astrologer in India, seeking his predictions for the Lok Sabha polls taking place in the Republic of India at that time. However, Dr. Kalra declined to provide any commentary, stating that Vedic Astrology does not possess the capability to accurately predict election outcomes. He explained that as multiple individuals are involved in a specific party, the fate of all members collectively determines the final result. Analyzing the horoscopes of every party member individually is practically unfeasible, leading Dr. Kalra to refrain from making predictions in this regard.

Dr. A.S. Kalra, recognized as one of the best Indian astrologers, contributed a full-page column titled ASTRO CORNER to the medical magazine called SAVES HEART. This magazine was published by ARAMUC INDIA LIMITED in Mumbai on behalf of its client, INTAS PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITED in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Dr.A.S.Kalra's name has also been included in the world famous astrologers' directory website hosted in USA www.findastrologer.com which is being conceived & managed by Ms Robin Manteris of Nashville, Tennessee, USA. His name appears in the following categories of the website: -

Astrologers by Speciality >> Vedic Astrology

Local Astrology Classes

His predictions are grounded in the latest research he has conducted in the realms of Vedic Astrology and Palm Analysis. He adopts a scientific approach when delving into the intricacies of Indian Vedic Astrology and strives to steer clear of promoting superstitions. In fact, he has developed his own scientific format for creating horoscopes, surpassing conventional methods. This new format allows even the average person to easily comprehend the horoscope. Additionally, he possesses excellent skills in Palmistry and holds extensive knowledge and practice in the field. However, he believes that Palmistry alone cannot generate optimal results. When combined with Horoscope Reading, Palmistry can produce highly accurate outcomes.

To encourage the use of national language of India, Hindi, he has kept his consultation fee lesser for obtaining astrological predictions from him in Hindi language as compared to that in English language.

He strongly opposes the notion of offering free astrological predictions because he believes that individuals seeking such free services are primarily seeking entertainment and simply looking to pass their time. He argues that astrologers who provide free astrological guidance are often retired individuals seeking personal entertainment rather than genuine expertise. Furthermore, he cautions against self-proclaimed astrologers offering free consultations, suggesting that they are often poorly educated individuals who mislead clients with expensive yet baseless remedies, ultimately profiting from their clients' vulnerability.

As per astrologist Dr. A.S. Kalra, even individuals with limited financial means can afford to pay for his services. He has observed that individuals who are financially disadvantaged or unemployed often spend money daily on items such as tobacco, including cigarettes, gutkha, and beedis, as well as alcoholic beverages like wine. Therefore, there is no justification for offering free astrological services to clients. Additionally, Dr. Kalra emphasizes that the practice of predictive astrology demands a significant investment of time, energy, and patience from the astrologer.

Despite receiving requests from various Indian TV channels to host live or recorded astrology programs in his name, he has chosen to decline these offers in order to avoid any unnecessary widespread publicity. In contrast, there are self-proclaimed astrologers who seek extensive publicity by recording astrology programs in their name in professional studios, paying for the services of an anchor or host provided by the studio. They then approach TV channels to broadcast these pre-recorded videos, often paying substantial amounts of money to secure the publicity. Dr. A.S. Kalra believes that the majority of these self-proclaimed astrologers make baseless claims about changing people's destinies, effectively deceiving vulnerable individuals who watch their videos. He asserts that even these so-called astrologers cannot alter their own destinies, highlighting the deceitful nature of their claims.

In recent times, numerous astrologers who frequently appear on TV channels have devised tour programs where they travel from one city to another, consecutively, and stay in hotels during their visits. However, this leads to a significant increase in their expenses. To compensate for these substantial costs incurred during activities such as recording video programs with an anchor in a studio, approaching TV channels for broadcasting, traveling to different cities, staying in hotels, and maintaining a call center with customer care executives to handle phone calls, they tend to charge exorbitant prices from their clients.

According to Dr. A.S. Kalra, a genuine astrologer does not need to constantly travel from one city to another. If an astrologer truly possesses expertise in their work, people from various Indian cities and even other countries will naturally seek them out. Astrologers who engage in constant city-hopping are often skilled businessmen with strong marketing abilities. It is a misconception to judge the capabilities of an astrologer based on their physical appearance, such as wearing saffron, yellow, or orange garments (like a 'choga'), sporting a vermilion mark on their forehead, or adorning themselves with a Rudraksha necklace and multiple gemstone-embedded rings. Dr. A.S. Kalra emphasizes that physical appearance has no correlation with astrological knowledge. In fact, many self-proclaimed astrologers are aware of this psychological aspect and adopt such appearances to deceive their clients.

According to Dr. A.S. Kalra, Astrology is a blend of science and estimation. Different astrologers have varying success rates, similar to professionals in other fields such as physicians, lawyers, sportspeople, and actors. No profession in the world guarantees 100% success. Just like the renowned cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, often referred to as the 'God of Cricket,' couldn't guarantee hitting six runs on every ball or scoring a century in every match. Interestingly, in crucial matches, his performance sometimes fell short, resulting in him being dismissed for a duck. Similarly, even the iconic Hindi film star Amitabh Bachchan has had his share of flop films in his illustrious career. These examples serve to illustrate that even highly successful professionals experience variations in their performance. In any similar profession, individuals have differing success rates.

According to Dr. A.S. Kalra, Vedic Astrology represents the pure form of astrology. However, over the centuries, many myths and superstitions have been added by unscrupulous astrologers or quacks to exploit people facing difficulties in their lives for financial gain. It is important to recognize that not all astrologers are the same. Some are honest and competent, while others may lack proficiency or genuineness. This distinction applies to every profession. Furthermore, it is incorrect for some astrologers to claim that astrology is solely a science, as they often lack deep understanding of both science and astrology. Interestingly, a significant number of astrologers in the Indian subcontinent have limited education and falsely claim to be able to alter the destiny of their clients, despite their own personal struggles and limitations.

According to him, client satisfaction is the key to gaining recognition through word-of-mouth referrals. If clients are pleased with his services, they may recommend him to their family members, friends, relatives, neighbors, or colleagues through phone conversations, in-person meetings, or emails. It has been observed that this form of organic publicity is indeed happening. While professional growth is important, he believes that developing a network on social media platforms is not necessary to achieve success in one's profession.

He comes from a Sikh family with no background in conventional astrology where knowledge and practice are passed down through generations. His father, grandfather, and great-grandfather had no knowledge of astrology. During his schooling, graduation, and post-graduation, he never aspired to become an astrologer. However, his belief in destiny and alternative medicines grew stronger during his post-graduation, and he developed a keen interest in learning astrology and various forms of alternative healing. After completing his post-graduation, he made the decision to change his path and pursue astrology instead of working as an IT professional for an organization. He strongly believes that becoming an astrologer was somehow destined for him.

When Dr. Kalra expressed his intention to pursue Vedic Astrology as a full-time profession, his family members, relatives, friends, and well-wishers were taken aback. They found it hard to believe that he would find success in astrology, and they did not approve of his decision. However, Dr. Kalra remained confident in his abilities and believed that he would achieve success as an astrologer in due time.

His father, Sardar Narinder Singh Kalra, had an educational background in Mechanical Engineering and retired from BHEL's (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited) Central Foundry Forge Plant division in Haridwar in 2009. BHEL is a prominent engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India, specializing in the energy-related and infrastructure sectors. His mother, Mrs. Swarn Kaur, was a homemaker who passed away in July 2018. Dr. Kalra's grandparents migrated from Pakistan to India during the India-Pakistan partition in 1947 and settled in New Delhi. His late grandfather, Sardar Amrik Singh Kalra, worked in a tailoring shop called "Swaraj Tailors" on Ajmal Khan Road in Karol Bagh, New Delhi until 1987, which was later transformed into "Swaraj Saree House." He does not have any brothers but has a sister, Ms. Poonam Kalra, who holds an MSc degree in Microbiology and is happily married to Sardar Tajinder Singh, who has an MBA in Finance, in Jalandhar, Punjab.

According to Dr. A.S. Kalra, when it comes to remedies, the best approach is to pray to God, as it can enhance a person's emotional strength to face life's challenges. Throughout history, many influential individuals have encountered significant problems, yet they found solace in prayer, seeking the strength to overcome their hardships. Prayer is a practice recommended in various religions worldwide. God is the author of our destiny and possesses the power to alter or modify it. Another remedy is to patiently await the commencement of a favorable period, known as "dasha" in Vedic Astrology. Sometimes, an individual may be experiencing difficulties due to an unfavorable phase in their life. A proficient astrologer can analyze the person's horoscope to determine when the negative phase began, when it is expected to conclude, and which aspect of their life is affected by this negativity.

According to Dr. Kalra, gemstones primarily impact individuals on a psychological level. However, there have been observations where individuals suffering from certain health issues experienced relief after wearing specific gemstones recommended by competent astrologers. It is important to note that they also continued following medical advice from physicians or specialists. In some cases, astrologers engage in the business of selling gemstones alongside offering horoscope readings. They either maintain their own inventory of gemstones or collaborate with gemstone traders, receiving commissions for recommending them to clients. These astrologers manage to persuade clients to wear certain gemstones. In instances where a positive phase coincidentally commences in a client's life after wearing the recommended gemstone, the client may attribute their newfound benefits to the gemstone. However, it is crucial to understand that the individual's improvement is more likely due to the onset of a positive phase in their life, rather than solely because of the gemstone they wore as suggested by the astrologer.

There are instances where solutions may seem elusive. Some individuals may face challenges such as mental disabilities or critical illnesses, while others may not have a destined love life or a happy marriage. Financial struggles can also persist due to unfortunate circumstances. In such cases, the only solution lies in accepting the will of God. Dr. A.S. Kalra does not believe that performing rituals, reciting mantras, or wearing talismans can alter destiny or bring happiness in life. There is no such remedy prescribed in Vedic Astrology, and many self-proclaimed astrologers deceive vulnerable individuals by offering expensive remedies to extract money from them. Lord Krishna advised Arjuna to focus on performing his duties without attaching excessive importance to the outcomes. As the saying goes, "No one has ever received anything before its time or beyond their destiny."

Dr. A.S. Kalra, a world-renowned astrologer based in Delhi, made a deliberate choice to practice and teach Indian Vedic Astrology (Jyotish) in the sacred cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh. These ancient cities are nestled at the foothills of the majestic Shivalik mountains in the Himalayas and are blessed by the holy and revered river Ganga (or Ganges). The tranquil atmosphere of these cities, coupled with their historical significance as centers for Vedic studies, make them ideal locations for astrological pursuits. Visitors from various parts of the world, including tourists exploring Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun, and Mussoorie, as well as pilgrims embarking on spiritual journeys to Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, often schedule appointments with Dr. Kalra to seek astrological guidance, birth chart readings, and palm analysis.

Due to his fluent command of the English language, Dr. A.S. Kalra is adept at effectively communicating and working with international clients. In contrast, many self-proclaimed astrologers or jyotish from the Indian subcontinent struggle with basic English language skills. Some are unable to construct a coherent sentence in English, and a significant number struggle even with proper pronunciation in their native Hindi language. Furthermore, their lack of exposure and knowledge is evident as they remain unaware of prominent institutions like the IITs or establishments like ANANDA SPA RESORT, and are unable to comprehend newspapers such as THE TIMES OF INDIA. Becoming a world-renowned astrologer necessitates a strong command of the English language, as it serves as the international language of networking that has facilitated global connections. This linguistic proficiency has played a significant role in the international recognition achieved by India's late celebrity astrologer, Bejan Daruvalla. His expertise in astrology was complemented by his fluency in English, bolstered by his background as an English language professor in Ahmedabad.
